What will you do as a Hardware Technician at Arvato?
As a Hardware Technician within Arvato, you are part of a small team that is responsible for our rack and stack business (building and configurating server racks for data centers). You adhere to the production schedule and timely communicate issues contributing to COTP and COTD. Besides you are responsible for returned hardware products: Verification and technical quality checks are a big part of that.
You participate in regular customer meetings (internal/external) to provide updates on the activities around your responsible fields.
Furthermore, your responsibilities consist of:
- Appliance configuration: Appliance BIOS setting updates, Firmware updates, hardware install (NIC, HDD, Memory etc);
- Stacking Rack Cabinets & Cable Looming;
- Network configuration activity: set up network environment for testing/ PXE activity;
- Network appliance configuration and firmware updates and config loads;
- Create and update imaging instructions including quality checks;
- Complete order specific appliance configuration per site survey/customer order form;
- Manage customer POC/Evaluation returns and process back to finished goods;
- Support asset tagging, returns inspection and manifest and reporting requirements;
- Dedication to excellence in areas of Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, Targets, 5S, H&S & Minimizing Downtime;
- Knowledge of material control escalation procedures;
- Ability to work as part of a team in all the above areas and in the area of continuous improvement.
Qualifications you bring with you as a Hardware Technician
You have experience in testing, imaging and configuring appliance, preferably in a high tech server configuration environment.
Moreover, you:
- Have knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/Production planning system;
- Have experience in troubleshooting appliances/devices;
- Take initiative and are solution oriented;
- Have a good knowledge of the English language.
